Principals who subscribe to a Data feed service will receive the information in electronic format so that their systems can be updated automatically.

As the information flows through the system it becomes less likely that tasks or activities are forgotten. This means less troubleshooting and chasing of details.

The Ship Line Up displays all currently active ships. For each ship the pending tasks are displayed. This ensures that the port offices had a clear view of all pending and overdue tasks.

Data is only entered once, additional information is added as and when needed.

Performance and monitoring reports give full transparency over key data. This means less compiling of reports.

PortAgent enables you to set up a back-office function thus reducing overheads in the ports. Processing of DA's can be allocated to resources and, in case of staff changes, easily re-allocated to other resources.

Invoices can be checked easily and invoice details are simply appended to the task. If an accounts interface exists, these details can be transferred to the accounting system yet again reducing double data entry.

In a multi-office environment, the local office may be restricted to see only their own port calls, but the head office can see and report on all port calls for all offices.

Low IT Running Cost

Running PortAgent only requires a PC with an internet connection. No special hardware or servers are needed. The use of PortAgent is charges per Portcall (a portcall being a particular ship calling a particular port on a particular date). You will only be charged for using PortAgent when you have been appointed.
